DCMS was first registered as a Ship Management and Brokerage business in mid-2009. Now headquartered in Bull Bay, St Andrew, Jamaica, DCMS Limited was upgraded in January 2014 as a Limited Liability Company with the Office of the Registrar of Companies in Jamaica. Today the company is classified broadly as a “Maritime Service Provider” rendering superior Vessel Delivery, Crew Management and Maritime & Engineering Consultancy services to the maritime industry, serving both the domestic and international sectors.
Our first major challenging Vessel Delivery project was in the year 2009 February to March. We provided a competent team of seafarers, some of whom formed the core of DCMS Directors, who executed an impressive delivery voyage, to the Owners’ delight, from Louisiana sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to Lagos, Nigeria. The R/V “Brone Explorer”, a 154 ft seismic vessel took 21 days steaming time across the Atlantic Ocean at an average speed of 10 knots… On a stormy night, the efficient team effectively put out an electrical fire while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. All repairs were made along the way and the vessel was delivered in excellent order… The Owners were so excitedly pleased, that they hosted a mini banquet for our team.
